Fall in Love | Brooke & Dylan's Pumpkin Patch Engagement Session

There’s just something about fall—the crisp air, the crunch of leaves, and of course, the charm of a pumpkin patch—that makes it the perfect backdrop for celebrating love. Brooke and Dylan brought all the cozy vibes and genuine joy to their autumn engagement session at Fields of Gold, and I couldn’t be more obsessed with how their photos turned out!

Brooke and Dylan met working at Cineplex together when they were sixteen years old, and the rest is history. Dylan proposed to Brooke at sunrise on Myrtle beach - how romantic!

Brooke reached out to me last summer wanting to have their engagement photos done in a pumpkin patch and also capture the beautiful autumn scenery. My first thought was Fields of Gold! From the moment we arrived, Brooke and Dylan were full of laughter, wrapped in flannel and warm tones that matched the fall palette perfectly. With rows of pumpkins, corn fields, a rustic tractor, and the golden-hour glow peeking through the trees, every corner of this location felt like a scene straight out of a storybook.

They wandered hand-in-hand through the field, occasionally stopping to admire “the one” (pumpkin, that is!), but every moment between them felt so effortless and true. Whether it was Dylan wrapping Brooke in a warm embrace, or frolicking in the field with their four year-old basset hound "Stubbins", their connection lit up every frame.

My favorite part of this session? Capturing the photos of all their hands/paw on a pumpkin—such a sweet, personal touch that made the session feel uniquely theirs, and showcased their own little family.

As the sun dipped behind the trees and the sky turned soft shades of amber and rose, we wrapped up the session admiring the pumpkins lining the entrance path to the venue, and snapped some last minute photos. It was the perfect way to end a perfect fall day.

To Brooke and Dylan, thank you for letting me tag along on this beautiful season of your love story. Your warmth and laughter are contagious, and I can't wait to capture the joy and love on your wedding day, October 2025!

Hi, my name is

Christie Tinker

The face behind the lens

I am a 32 year-old wife, mother, daughter, and sister. I grew up locally to Cornwall, Ontario and I’m a labor and delivery nurse. I have two beautiful children, my 4 year-old daughter, and my 2 year-old son. I'm married to the love of my life, Matthew, and we've been together for 12 years. I have two dogs, a golden retriever and a husky/malamute/German Shepard mix. We finally followed our dream of living in the country this past fall, and now live in Martintown, Ontario. I used to dream of stepping onto my porch with a coffee in hand, hearing the sounds of birds singing, and my children laughing and playing outside. I wanted to walk through my garden while smelling the fresh country air...  reveling in the silence and privacy of country living. And now, finally I have all of this. I also love hiking, wine tasting, charcuterie, cooking over baking, iced coffee, warm weather, long drives, movie soundtracks, and having a good laugh with friends.

I first discovered my interest in photography when we travelled to Iceland in 2018. I bought my first camera and snapped pictures of our whole trip. My passion reignited when we had our daughter. I love preserving moments in time because I’ve learned time goes by so quickly and all we have as a reminder are these photos. My husband always says I’m the only person he knows who likes to go through old photo albums. I like to tell your story as the moment happens. You will find I use prompts to guide you through your session instead of set poses. The most breathtaking photos happen when you're naturally interacting with each other. Sneaking kisses, tender touching, twirling, dipping, tickling, and giggling. Seeing your love makes my heart burst - It’s like watching a story unfold to me. You will always catch me smiling behind the camera and shouting how much I love what I’m seeing, because its true! I love what I do. I am down to try just about any idea. Those often lead to some of the best photos!
